Help -> Web Sites -> Layout Type

Starting Point: Logged into Manager with Access to Web Sites and navigated to "Manager -> Web Tools -> Web Sites".

When you first create a new Web Site you are asked to choose your Web Site Layout Type, and you can change this at any time in your Web Site Config. Below is a summary of the three options you have for your Web Site Layout Type.

  • Single-Page Scrollable: Your Web Pages all appear on one scrollable URL. This works best on smaller Web Sites.
  • Top Navigation: Your Web Pages are linked to from a menu that appears on the top of every page on your Web Site. This is recommended for most Web Sites. If you have lots of Web Pages and Forms, then you want to use Folders (see Sitemap help article) to prevent issues with trying to display too many links in the Top Navigation.
  • Left Navigation: Your Web Pages are linked to from a menu that appears on the left of every page on your Web Site. This works best for large Web Sites such as this support Web Site.
