Help -> People Database -> New (or Go To) Text Message Ticket
Starting Point: An Admin has requested and received a text messaging phone number for your Account. You are Logged into the Manager with Access to the People Database and have navigated to "Manager -> Communication Tools -> People Database".
Text Message Tickets are tools to help your Leadership Team communicate by text messages with people who do not have a Manager login. Your Leadership Team can use the Manager to send text messages, and the person without a Manager login sends text messages using their phone's text messaging system. Below is additional information about sending (or navigating to send) text messages through the People Database.
- Prerequisites to send text messages
- Your Account needs to be configured to send text messages, and we have a separate help article about Text Messaging Account Setup.
- The Person you want to send a text message to must have a US mobile phone number on file in your People Database.
- Navigating to send text messages
- To send someone a text message you navigate to their Manage Person page in the People Database and click the Manage button to see one of two options.
- New Text Message Ticket
- If the Person does not already have a Text Message Ticket for their phone number, then you will see the option to create a New Text Message Ticket which will send them a text message and also create a new Text Message Ticket. - Go To Text Message Ticket
- If the Person already has Text Message Ticket for their phone number, then you will see the option to Go To Text Message Ticket, and selecting that option will take you to their existing Text Message Ticket. From there you can view previous text messages, and you can also Reply to send them a text message.
- New Text Message Ticket
- To send someone a text message you navigate to their Manage Person page in the People Database and click the Manage button to see one of two options.
Note: Additional features of Tickets such as Notes, Status, and Priority can be used with Text Message Tickets. There are several Inbox help articles about Tickets.
