Help -> Idea Center -> Idea Lists

Starting Point: Logged into Manager and navigated to "Manager -> Productivity Tools -> Idea Center".

Idea Lists are great tools for people who like working with lists. There are lots of helpful and easy-to-use features which are described below.

  • You can create Idea Lists by going to Create New and selecting New Idea List.
  • You can add Items to your lists by selecting your list and typing an Item and clicking Add Item (or by pressing the enter key).
  • There is currently no built-in sharing options with Idea Lists, but you can Export an Idea List to an Idea Doc which can be shared.
  • You can change the order of items in your list by clicking on the the up/down icon to the right of any item and dragging it where you want it.
  • You can edit an item in your list by double clicking the item.
  • Clicking the Show/Hide Options link gives you the following options.
    • You can set the Item Priority to Urgent, High, Normal, or Low.
    • Through the menu icon to the right consisting of three horizontal lines you can do the following.
      • List Item Info: Provides the date the item was created.
      • Create Reminder: This is a convenient way to create a Reminder.
      • Convert to To-Do: This creates a To-Do, changes the list item Status to Dismissed, and adds a link to the To-Do below the list item.
      • Convert to Inbox Ticket: This creates a new Ticket, changes the list item Status to Dismissed, and adds a link to the Ticket below the list item.
      • You can specify the Item Status.
        • Open (empty square icon)
        • Completed (check mark inside square icon)
        • Dismissed (dash inside square icon)
      • You can delete the Item.
  • Clicking the Show/Hide Filters link gives the following options.
    • You can filter by item Priority.
    • You can filter by item Status.
    • You can filter by an item's keywords.
  • Through the Manage button near the top right you have the following options.
    • Edit Name: Allows you to edit the name of an Idea List.
    • Re-Sort List: Sorts your entire list by Item Status (Open, Dismissed, Closed) and sorts your Open items by Priority (Urgent, High, Normal, Low).
    • Export List Items: You can export your Idea List to a new Idea List, a new Idea Doc, or append to an existing Idea List.
    • Import List Items: You can import an Idea List into the Idea List you are currently working on.
    • Archive: You can Archive any Idea List which moves the Idea List to the Archives tab. It is also possible to Un-Archive an Idea List as well.
