Starting Point: Logged into Manager.
Below is some key information about live text Chat Groups.
- Chat Groups
- A Chat Group is a Standard or Project Group that has live text Chat enabled for that Group.
- Outgoing Messages Only Groups do not have the option to enable Chat.
- Only Coordinators of a Group can read and post in a Chat.
- The following people can enable Chat for a Group by navigating to Manage a particular Group, clicking the Edit tab, and selecting Yes to enable Chat for that Group.
- Admins
- Leaders with Access to Groups who are a Coordinator of that Group.
- Chat icon in Top Blue Bar
- Located at the top of every page in the Manager.
- Mobile users may need to click the three dots icon before they can see the Top Blue Bar and Chat icon.
- The number shown on the Chat icon indicates the total number of unread Chat Messages across all Chat Groups you are a Coordinator of.
- Clicking the Chat icon opens a list of all Chat Groups you are a Coordinator of.
- Number shown in blue circle next to a Chat Group indicates the number of unread Chat Messages in that Chat Group.
- Clicking the Open Chat button opens that Chat Group.
- Chat messages are sorted in reverse chronological order.
- When you open the Chat Group, you are taken to the most recent message which appears at the bottom.
- You can submit a message by clicking the airplane icon or by clicking the enter key.
- To the left of the Open Chat button is a transcript icon which you can click to view a transcript of that Chat Group in chronological order.
- Located at the top of every page in the Manager.
