Starting Point: Logged into Manager as an Admin.

Below are the steps for an Admin to get started with text messaging by requesting a text messaging phone number. Once your Account receives its own number, then you will be able to send and receive text messages.

  1. Your organization must be a U.S. entity with an Employer Identification Number (EIN), such as a 501(c)(3) organization. Individual persons using a Social Security Number (SSN) are not eligible.
  2. Request a text messaging phone number through the Admin Settings page.
  3. After we receive your text messaging phone number request form, we will build your text messaging phone number application to submit to our provider. Once we complete that, typically within 1-3 business days, we will email it to you for your review and signature prior to us submitting it to our provider.
  4. After our provider approves your request for a text messaging phone number, typically within 2-3 weeks, we will notify you that your Ministry Inbox Account is ready to send and receive text messages.
